Coming to Join us for Worship?
Wear what feels comfortable for you - you'll see sport coats and ties, blue jeans and shorts. We celebrate worship in our wonderful sanctuary space (and occasionally in our fellowship hall). We work to blend a continually growing variety of music and worship elements including both traditional and more modern . Youth and adults serve as our worship servants - ushers, readers, choir and cantors, communion assistants and more. Worship is a participatory event! Children are welcomed and encouraged to join in worship as well- they are "the church" as much as the adults are! There is a children's message every Sunday, just before the sermon, with kids invited to come forward. During the sermon the younger children are invited to particiapte in a separate children's word time, returning to the main worship for our prayers, communion and the remainder of the service.
Holy Communion - For us and for you!
When we celebrate communion, we invite any all disciples of Christ to join us at the table - you do not need to be a member of St Luke's, or of our Lutheran tradition. Christ invited you - and so do we! If you're not quite comfortable with communing yet, we encourage you to consider coming forward for a blessing.
